Will I be ok? Do i have to amputate my leg?

I was walking back from school to my house and was walking with a friend, and was turning at the corner when suddenly a woman and a child walked by with a small dog. The dog did not bark, growl, or in any way let me know that I might be in danger and bit me without warning. Then I swore angrily because i was shocked.The owner was shocked herself and apologized and walked away but I don' t think she noticed that the dog bit me on my right thigh. I felt a pinch but since we were walking in opposite directions I walked on also because I was too tired to fuss or stress about it and thought it was a minor injury. When I got home however to my horror I noticed that there was a bit of blood on it and that it was stinging. Petrified I told my mum about it and she was furious that i was stupid enough to just walk on without making a complaint or even asking for the dog owner's details. I went to the hospital and got a Tetanus Vaccine. And apparently have to take tablets just to be sure. Will I be Ok? I wasn't able to ask the owner if the dog's vaccination was up to date or anything and therefore, afraid. Hope you are able to answer my question.....
