Why does my dog bark at me whenever I hit someone?

Like if I hit my sister brother or my cousin, he would bark at me angrily, or if it's the other way around like my sister hitting my cousin my brother hitting my sister etc. He would bark at them no matter what. He is a yorkie but anyways why does he do that are dogs like this?
