My rabbit has weepy eyes. What can I do without taking him to the vet?

I think he must have had this for a while, but my other rabbit cleaned them for him. She is at the rainbow bridge now and his eyes are wet and slightly crusty. I tried a warm rag and it helped for a short while but they keep getting weepy again.
