Is the Milky Way Galaxy the only galaxy in the universe?

I know this is a really stupid question, but since technically we are looking back into time wouldent all the galaxys we see be in the past? Since it would take million of years just to see the galaxys in todays time(even then it would be in the past). Coulden't we be the only galaxy? Casue really we are just looking million years into the past?
